The Heritages

Human, Dwarf, Highlander, Seafarer, Fey: who you are said to be, and two curses worn over it.

Five peoples walk the treaty’s roads. A heritage is chosen in the Hall of Departures before a road is taken; it changes how the world reads you and nothing about what you can do.

  • Human: The treaty's own people: the roads, the crowns, the ledgers.
  • Dwarf: Khaz Undvar's folk: ore, coal, and a grudge kept warm.
  • Highlander: Born on the terraces and passes above the treaty's roads.
  • Seafarer: The Sereth strait's people, who paid for a throne in fish.
  • Fey: Grove-born under the Green Mother, and never quite of the road.

The Undead and the Werewolf are not heritages: they are the cursed bloodlines, worn over whatever you were born while the curse holds, and shed with it at the Hall of Cleansing.
