The shape
Roadwarden and Bannerman each open with a chain quest from the envoy and close with a finisher at the seat. From Guard of the Seal up the finishers are group missions, open only to sworn members of the same kingdom standing together, aimed at the raid seats whose canon carries that kingdom’s arc: the passes arc ends at the Sealkeep, the second-wall arc at the Unwritten Library, the tide-debt arc at the Tide-Throne, and the ash arc before the Old King himself. Early segments are errands in the present; each later one reaches further back.
