Winds Of Fate

The castle siege: two armies, two forts, one field between.

The castle siege: two armies, two forts, one field between.

Winds of Fate is the oldest of the three battlegrounds and the largest. Two sides, clans or two open teams, meet across a field between two forts, each led by a worldlord-tier COMMANDER and reinforced by soldiers the fort itself raises: footmen, archers, knights, healers, cannoneers, engineers.

THE LOOP. Capture the field's rooms. The more rooms your side holds, the more soldiers it can field, and as the enemy loses ground their capacity falls and their reinforcements dry up. Kills score points; each soldier is worth a set value, and player kills scale by level gap, so felling someone above you is worth more and farming the low-levelled is worth little. The enemy commander is a worldlord powerhouse worth a fortune, and you cannot reach or drop one without an army at your back. An hour, extendable to two; the higher score wins.

THE VERBS. siege is the status: the vote, the scores, the ground held, the spawn capacity. siege vote <size> chooses the season's battlefield, siege join answers the muster during signups, siege watch spectates from the field, siege bracket shows the tournament bracket during a season. In battle: team <words> (tsay) to coordinate your side, fire a cannon you stand at, dig a field cell for corrosives, deploy corrosives and traps. Heralds ride the battle channel; mute it if the noise is too much. Fall and you are carried to your fort's field hospital to recover, never killed for good.

Winds of Fate musters on the 15th with the rest of the war season (help calendar) and every fight is kept whole in the annals.
