A deck is not bought. It is the world you have actually met: every card is something in the game, and it reaches your hand because you found the thing it depicts.
The tiers
- Common: beast archetypes — the cards a new deck is built from (drops, 14 pips across four sides)
- Uncommon: named zone leaders — the teeming fronts carry the newest names in the set (drops, 20 pips across four sides)
- Rare: world bosses (drops, 26 pips across four sides)
- Epic: worldlords (drops, 31 pips across four sides)
- Legendary: the apex (drops, 35 pips across four sides)
- Divine: pantheon — tournament prize only, never drops, never trades (never drops, 38 pips across four sides)
The set
Deliberately a cut of what exists rather than all of it, so the deck stays collectible: 25 of the world bosses, 35 of the beast archetypes, 100 of the zone leaders. A card’s four sides are budgeted from its subject’s own weight, which means the deck’s power curve is the world’s power curve rather than a designer’s guess at one.
Divine cards
The pantheon is a prize and nothing else. Divine cards never drop and never trade; they leave a tournament in somebody’s hand or they do not exist. You may carry 25 duplicates of a card, and the codex counts separately, so binding a card to the codex is worth more than hoarding it.
