Holding more than one class.

Your CURRENT class gives full benefit. Skills and spells from a class you used to hold are retained at reduced strength, shown as a dimmed percentage in abilities, and an elemental affinity you once earned is yours permanently, even if you re-learn the spell from a scroll later.

IT COSTS. Each distinct class beyond the first makes levelling slower. The trade is breadth against speed, and it is meant to be a real decision.
