How to be in a room without being in it.

invis (also wizinvis) veils you down to a tier. Bare, it veils you to everyone below your OWN tier: a World Maker who types invis is seen only by World Makers, a Warden only by Wardens and above. invis warden names the tier instead; invis off lifts it; invis status says who can see you. You cannot veil above your own tier.

While the veil holds you are gone from room lists, who and where for everyone below it, and to them you are A VEILED KEEPER wherever a name would print: say, tell, emote, yell, and every channel, backlog included. Keepers of the tier and above see you, marked (invis) on who and [unseen] in the room. Your prompt wears the veil while it holds, so you never have to wonder.

holylight is the other half: you see everything, hidden and dark alike, charts or no charts.

Being unseen is for watching, testing and mending, not for speaking. If you must speak as the world, `echo`; if you must speak as yourself, lift the veil first. A player answered by a voice with no body files it under haunting, and the Chronicles do not need that entry.
