Service calls, paid in kind.
These are not chains: they are standing REQUESTS from people whose needs come from where they stand. Eight requesters, one per discipline, each with four requests that climb the tier ladder as you do: errands for the trade at level 5, supply for a kingdom's works by 35. Bring the asked-for materials, say the word, and the pay is MATERIALS from the stores of whoever asked, in small and moderate amounts, always something the discipline itself uses. A working economy's texture, never a faucet. All repeatable, and the daily falloff applies.
THE REQUESTERS:
Blacksmithing Quartermaster Hess Karan Reach Woodworking Sawyer Bram Gloamgrove Leatherworking Tanner Wyla Westmarch Tailoring Draper Onnis Sunhaven Jewelcrafting Lapidary Sorel Caer Vaneth Runecrafting Forge-Scribe Ithra Deepfall Cooking Springs-Cook Maren Scaldwell Alchemy Wicket-Apothecary Sett Cinderwatch
THE BANDS. Four per discipline: at 5, 15, 25 and 35, asking for materials of tier 2, 5, 8 and 11 in falling counts (eight, six, five, four) and paying three of the discipline's second family at the same tier. The names of what is asked are read from the materials catalogue when the world is built, so a rebalance of the trades re-prices these by itself.
The request is the story. Karan Reach does not want a sword admired, it wants edges that survive the Reach; Cinderwatch behind its shut gates wants remedies passed through the wicket; Deepfall's forge wants what only the deep yields.
